Gas Inserts
Gas inserts are designed to transform older, open masonry fireplaces from inefficient, decorative appliances into highly-efficient systems that can heat large areas of your home.
Why Choose A Gas insert?
Choice of natural gas or propane
Zone Heating Concept - Heat where you live
Turns an inefficient/unusable fireplace into a powerful heater and focal point
Highly efficient heaters, ranging from 20,000-40,000 BTU/hr
Thermostatic controls
Large glass viewing area
Attractive flush-mount design that looks built-in, not like an afterthought
Large variety of sizes and styles
Easy to use with convenient wall switch or remote control
Unlike fireplaces, which are framed into a wall, inserts are installed into an existing fireplace. They are designed for the front of the insert to sit flush with the opening of the original masonry fireplace. All gas inserts are direct vent—they use a two chamber vent pipe to bring combustion air down into the firebox and take exhaust back up and out through the chimney; this efficient and safe system means combustion air is not drawn from the living environment and no soot or carbon monoxide can enter your home. As with all hearth appliances, the ceramic glass on the front a gas insert radiates the largest percentage of heat into the room but additional heat is available from a heat-circulating blower system.
